Psalms 73:17 - till I entered the sanctuary of God; then I understood their final destiny.

Many times I have wondered and asked myself how come the not so spiritual people who are always doing wrong by ways of unholy ways of living and yet seem to do well and are more successful than the other group of people, who make an effort to live life in ways that are right, truthful or pleasing to God. This has been on my mind many a times when I have seen some really good innocent and people who mean to harm to their brethren suffer.

A few days back I had been reading an article on the internet and I came across Psalm 73:17 and it has answer to all the doubts I always had, kindly take some time out to read psalm 73. The psalmist here is in a similar dilemma, he says he envied the wicked and the arrogant seeing their prosperity, He explains how their lifestyle has been, so careless and unknowing of what is in store.

In our day to day life we too see people living a very unholy life and yet are successful and have no troubles or struggles in life, their only aim is to earn a lot of money, riches, fame, the means of earning money power and fame is surely against what the Word of God says and yet no harm comes upon them they seem to be  growing in success and prosperity, while on the other hand there is another set of people who work hard, struggle and make every effort to live life that pleases God, live a life in accordance to God’s Word and yet they seems to b  having an ongoing struggle in their life, they seem to be getting into some trouble or the other, Many of you reading this may find your selves in such a situation nothing seem to Go well, you seem to have been pressed by the worries and troubles of life and we might have been like the psalmist saying Surely in vain have I kept my heart pure; in vain have I washed my hands in innocence, All day long I have been plagued; I have been punished every morning.(Verse 13 & 14)

The psalmist also was in a similar situation and he says, he realized it until he entered the presence of God.

Dear Friend in Christ, today you too may be struggling and making every effort to live life that pleases God, working hard to proclaim the Gospel and yet find yourself in some difficulty and struggle whereas the other people around you are doing exactly the opposite and they are having the best of life. Our life on earth is limited, we are all destined to a life that is eternal and we can choose our destiny. If we live a life that is according to the will of God we will be destined to a life that is glorious and forever full of goodness, all who do not live a life that is according to the Word of God will find themselves in the eternal fire. Our life on earth is just a temporary let us strive for a glorious eternal life.
